I’ve been away from posting for a bit. I need to get pencil sketching more but it’s good to get drawing with the Cintiq again, especially working with light. This is an area I really need to work on. Painting with light sources like this is good practice.

To display their mascot as a twitter I thought it’d be cool to give the dog a bird costume. It was easy to add wings, it’ll be cool to add color and render this sketch.

Here’s a sketch of a couple old timey boxers, probably something you’d see in Gangs of New York. Also looks alot like Von Kaiser from the Nintendo Punchout game. I wanted to draw the old school Irish boxer type, hard as a coffin nail.

Carl Fredricksen from Pixar’s Up. I have yet to see this movie, hoping to go this weekend. I’ve read some of the reviews and plot summaries, sounds great.
Got back in to colored pencils recently, I’ve been using the Cintiq but it was nice to get back to pencils for a bit.
